PORTFOLIO
The project for Photoshop at Chubb Institute was to develop two campaign posters for 'Bruce Hytop'. One for an Urban campaign and one for a Rural campaign. We were left to our own devices for the visuals and were required to use at least three images (to show proficiency with Photoshop). The text required were the candidates name ("Bruce Hytop"), his tag line ("It's time for a change"), and mention of some geographical specific messages (i.e., Urban - streets, protection, recycling, etc.. and Rural - education, taxes, farms, etc..). Not all references were required for the geographical images. Use the Flash (MX Pro 2004) presentation below to view how these two campaigns were visually constructed. |

To achieve the final product for this phase of the project i wanted to convey a strong visual representation of the textual message. The main picture of the street originally had a female in the center (unfortunately, i do not have the original picture of this); therefore, i had to remove her with cloning and healing tools. |
As with the Urban project, i again aimed to achieve a strong visual sense of the overall message. There are actually two main pictures for this campaign. The barn "window" was cut out to reveal the farmer, which was on a layer behind the barn. The illustrations on the "window shutters" have the illusion of almost being painted on due to a lowered opacity. The apples originated as one. The look of the dropping quarter was achieved through a motion blur applied to a copy of the quarter on a layer behind itself. |
